August 6, 2018April 18, 2020Leave a comment

Every morning starts out relatively the same for me: achy joints, jumping heart rates, nausea, low blood sugars- the list goes on. Then there are those other mornings, the ones that feel like death is upon you. I am sure you know what I am talking about. On days like that I have trouble being … Continue reading Three Things… You just need Three

Joy & Gladness will be Found in Her

This morning as I was doing my write the word, I came across this verse, and felt blocked. I didn't see the purpose in writing this verse and how it would help me "cultivate hope." Honestly, I was quite confused and almost bothered by it at first. I immediately stopped in my tracks and asked … Continue reading Joy & Gladness will be Found in Her

"Life is like a cup of tea, it should be filled to the brim and enjoyed among friends." It is no secret that Maura and I are best friends if you follow either of us on Instagram. Now that we are neighbors, we are taking advantage of that and have set aside a weekly time … Continue reading Life is like a Cup of Tea…

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. 14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.15 No one lights a lamp and … Continue reading POTSie Devotional: Salt- We need to be it and eat it

5 Things I Wish Doctors Knew About Me When I am in the Emergency Room

July 9, 20182 Comments

We all wish sometimes that people knew our history so there is less explaining, but this wish becomes all too true when you fight chronic illnesses and are headed to the ED. Recently I was admitted into the hospital and while I was in the Emergency Department (ED) waiting to be admitted I started thinking. … Continue reading 5 Things I Wish Doctors Knew About Me When I am in the Emergency Room

10 Small Things You Can Do to make Your Recovery a Little Easier

January 18, 20181 Comment

As I prepare to go into the OR on Thursday, I am getting all my ducks in a row so I don't have to worry about everything. My sole focus needs to be on recovering. Let me start out by saying, I am a control freak and that's no secret. Therefore, it stresses me out knowing … Continue reading 10 Small Things You Can Do to make Your Recovery a Little Easier

One of my biggest goals for this year was to deepen my prayer life and make it a top priority. If you swipe to the next photo you will see in the middle of my 2022 goal idea it says “prayer > everything.”
I’m sure if you have been in the Powersheets community for any length of time (or followed my journey) you have been told that you can’t do it all and do it well. Is it just me or have you ever felt like, “that’s a great point, but it doesn’t apply to me?” I know that I have!
Happy Tending List… Wednesday 🤷🏼‍♀️
“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
What would happen if you had accountability in your goal setting?
